みなさんと、どんなうそ、いってるかな?と想像しながら、読んでいきましたが・・

さてと、読み手として勉強していくと、

A-pril Fool-ish-ness
Life on the farm keeps a gal on her toes.
That's what Grand-ma thought as she flung on her clothes.
She grinned , for the grand-kids had come for a stay.
And wouldn't you know it, they'd picked the right day!

Grand-pa, Oh, Grand-pa!
The cons have got loose, I think Big Brown Bes-sie just stepped on a goose.

I-mag-ine, said Grand-pa, Good gra-cious Alas
Then he poured some milk in a tall frost-y glass.

Grand-pa, oh, Grand-pa
The chick-ens are out.
They're squak-ing and squab-bling and rac-ing about.

I-mag-ine, said Grand-oa
A-maz-ing. Oh, my!
as he popped some eggs into the skil-ket to fry.

Grand-pa, oh, Grand-pa!
The pigs broke the gate.
They're in the to-ma-toes.
Oh, hur-ry don't wait.

I-mag-ine, said Grand-pa.
I'm re-al-ly quite shaken.
He reached in the fridge and he got out the ba-con.

Grand-pa, oh, Grand-pa.
The goats are all freed.
They're run-ning a-round in a smel-ly stam-pede.

I-mag-ine, said Grand-pa.
It's re-al-ly quite scar-y.
Then he sliced the goat cheese that he bought from the dair-y.

Grand-pa, oh, Grnad-pa.
The sheep are all gone.
I heard that they're munch-ing on some-body's lawn.

I-mag-ine said Grand-pa
I hope things get bet-ter. He opened the clos-et and got out a sweat-er.

Grand-pa, Oh, why won't you lis-ten to me?
The farm's going nuts. If you'd look, you would see.

But Grand-pa just grin-ned as he took out the bread
and he popped in some toast for his break-fast, in-stead.

Then Gran-ma ap-peard.
What a hul-la-ba-loo! Who's causing this noise, the grand-kids, or you?

It's noth-ing said Grand-pa.
Ig-nore them, I say. They're trying to trick me.
It's A-pril Fools Day.

But hon-ey said Grand-ma.
You'll find to your sor-row.
It's not A-pril Fools' Day to-day but to-mor-row.

Then Grand-pa turned red and he gave out a roar.
He sped through the kitch-en and dashed out the door.
Grand-ma just smiled as she pulled up a stool.
She nib-bled his toast and she called.

A-pril Fool!

音の切れ目を意識して読むとおもしろいですよ。
